Each year clubs make changes, coaches move on and a new string of people are swung through the doors at Football Clubs.

Last off-season the Eastern Football League saw a huge 23 Senior coaching changes ahead of the 2014 season.

This season is much the same with a lot of clubs choosing to go down a different path as they look towards 2015. 12 changes have already been made with another five jobs still up for grabs.

Division 1:

Marcus Buzaglo was named interim coach at the Roo’s and was the likely replacement for Dale Bower ahead of next year, Buzaglo has a tough job on his hands but will have the support of the East Ringwood Football Club every step of the way, Buzaglo played in the clubs last Senior flag in 2002 and coached the Reserves in 2014.

Knox appointed David Madigan last week. Another tough gig although Madigan is coming from an experianced background having last coached under Marco Bello at the Box Hill Hawks.

Lilydale Football Club are looking towards 2015 and have appointed Sean Millane as their senior coach. A fresh face and some fresh ideas are the key for the Falcons.

High interest around the Noble Park job for 2015. Premiership Coach Mick Fogarty returning to the club after taking a year off, even better news for Bulls fans as duel premiership players Kyle Martin and Ziggie Alwan are potentially retuning to Pat Wright Senior Oval.

Yet to be announced: North Ringwood & South Croydon

Division 2:

Paul McCormack will lead Bayswater into next season with Neil Winterton departing the club after a three year stint. McCormack will be looking to rebuild as the Waters are set to lose key forward Wayne McInerney to the Casey Scorpions.

Fabian Carelli was unable to see the year out after being told his contract at East Burwood was not going to be renewed, although the Rams had bigger plans, announcing the Essendon Premiership player David Calthorpe was a strong replacement and the man to take the club forward.

Scoresby have been dealt with a lot over the past 12 months. Brent King will have his work cut out for him as he is named Coach of the Scoresby Football Club for 2015. King was an assistant coach in the mid 2000’s before moving across to Ferntree Gully where he was Senior Coach for two years.

Division 3:

Former Bayswater Coach Neil Winterton will trade keep the yellow but trade in the green for the black as he is set to coach Mitcham Football Club in 2015. the former Mulgrave Premiership player and Waters Coach has still got it after taking home the Bayswater Best and Fairest in 2014.

Another link to Mulgrave, former Lions Coach Hayden Stanton will take on the role of Senior Coach with South Belgrave after Dean Burnell stepped down at the end of 2014.

Yet to be announced: Chirnside Park

Division 4:

Leam Doughty came back to the club in 2014 to give the Cougars a chop out. Adam Dale will lead Coldstream into 2015 with a lot of hype around the talented young list that he has at his disposal, with the EastLink Under 19’s coming of a stellar season winning the premiership.

Donvale make their way back into the Eastern Football League after a year away. Ang Lamanna, who was assistant at Lilydale in 2014 will take on the Senior coaching role in 2015, a tough position as the club pushes to rebuild its foundations.

Eastern Football League Journeyman Brett Davidson has thrown his hat in the ring once again. Davidson who is a regular with the EFL Media Team will coach Surrey Park in 2015. Coming of a year away, Davidson’s last coaching job was with the Waverley Blues in 2013.

Rick Barkla will make his way back to the EFL in 2015. After playing with Templestowe, Donvale and Surrey Park the former Hawthorn AFC Coach will become a Nunawading Titan next year. The club is thrilled with Rick’s experience and hope he can bring a winning vibe to the club.
