15/5/21

Division P Round 5 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Balwyn 13 South Croydon 3 0 B 2
Noble Park 9 Rowville 3 0 R 2^
North Ringwood 15 Blackburn 13 0 B 4^
Doncaster East 10 Norwood 12 0 N 1
Doncaster   Bye
Berwick   Bye
Vermont   Bye

Norwood and Doncaster East meet for the first time since 2003 in what was then the old Division Three.

The Premier Division ladder is pretty tight – a win for Noble Park could see them head the ladder but a loss and they may be a low as sixth with several teams below them just a game behind but with a game in hand.

Division 1 Round 6 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Bayswater 22 Lilydale 16 0 L 1
Mitcham 34 East Ringwood 53 1 ER 1
Mooroolbark 14 Croydon 19 0 C 4
Montrose 16 Upper FTG 11 0 M 6^
Wantirna South 2 Park Orchards 2 0 WS 1^

Mitcham and East Ringwood along with Vermont, East Burwood and Scoresby were the mainstays of the top echelon of EFNL for over four decades.  The Tigers will take on the Kangaroos for the 89th time since 1962 but the first time since 2006.  (See below for some gold from the SBRD* out of the Statsbench archives).

Bayswater reached the 1100 match milestone last round and have won exactly half of those games.

Division 2 Round 6 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Templestowe 7 Boronia 19 0 B 2
Ringwood 15 The Basin 8 1 R 2
Mulgrave 13 Heathmont 14 0 H 3
Knox South Belgrave

Knox and South Belgrave meet for the first time; South Belgrave will be Knox’s 46th opponent in the EFNL and Knox will be South Belgrave’s 37th opponent.

Division 3 Round 6 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
East Burwood 8 Ferntree Gully 2 0 FTG 2^
Fairpark 9 Warrandyte 15 0 W 8^
Glen Waverley 0 Waverley Blues 5 0 WB 5^
Whitehorse 3 Donvale 3 0 D 1^
Scoresby   Bye

It’s the sixth Waverley showdown!

Whitehorse and Donvale have only met six times in the EFNL but they have a history of many more meetings in the old Eastern Suburban Churches Football Association in the 1970s and 80s.

Division 4 Round 5 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Chirnside Park 3 Silvan 1 0 CP 3^
Surrey Park 5 Coldstream 9 0 C 2
Nunawading 2 Croy North MLOC 0 0 N 2^
Kilsyth 18 Forest Hill 27 0 FH 3

Based on previous scores so far this season the Nunawading and Croydon North-MLOC match could be each club’s best chance for a win.
