2014 Division 1 Premiership Coach appointed as the Eastern Football League’s senior interleague coach.

Norwood Coach Denis Knight will take charge of the League’s best at this year’s AFL Victoria Metropolitan Championships to be held on March 28 at Visy Park.

There was no question that Knight would be a perfect acquisition to the EFL’s coaching panel continuing the recent tradition of the Premiership coach taking the reins the following year.

Knight, who spent five years as coach at Noble Park will enter his third year as Norwood coach in 2015 on the hunt for back to back success with the Norsemen.

The coaching panel will again boast some of the Leagues brightest football minds:

 – East Ringwood coach and premiership player Marcus Buzaglo will continue his role with the Interleague side.

– Returning Noble Park Coach Mick Fogarty will assist Knight. Fogarty coached the Bulls from 2010-2013, claiming back to back flags in 2010-11.

It will be East v West as the EFL takes on the Western Region Football League with the sides ranked 3rd and 4th in the Championships.

The initial squad will be announced shortly with training to commence in the coming weeks.
