Overall, were you satisfied with what the club achieved, both on and off the field, in 2017?
Lysterfield Wolves had a successful 2017 by fielding 18 boys teams & our first girls team, who won the u12 South premiership in their inaugural season. A number of our competitive age group teams played finals, with 3 boys teams also playing off in the grand final. Off the field we continue to develop our club to cater for our growing numbers.
Approximately how many teams do you think you will field in 2018?
Lysterfield continues to grow by fielding 20 boys teams and 3 girls teams in 2018, which should see us at the largest junior football club in Knox and maybe the EFL?
What has the feeling been like around the club over the pre-season?
There is a lot of buzz around the club through the preseason with a new look committee, several new coaches and a number of new kids joining Lysterfield.
If you had to pick one, which team do you think is the club’s best chance of winning a premiership this season?
Either our U12 or U14 girls teams will be right in the mix again as they have a talented, driven group lead by amazing coaches.
Is there a particular age group of players that you need as soon as possible to fill a team ahead of Round 1?
Our U15s are a little short of numbers but our U10s need another 10 players more so next season when they hit competitive footy, but will play short this season at this stage.
