Coldstream Junior Football Club president Mick Kollosche spoke to EFL Media ahead of season 2018, all thanks to Yarra Valley Water and Choose Tap.
Overall, were you satisfied with what the club achieved, both on and off the field, in 2017?
Mick Kollosche: Yes. Continual development of kids’ skills and understanding of the game leads to enjoyment win, lose or draw. Sponsorship has been fantastic allowing for new equipment and extra coaching from outside of the club.
Approximately how many teams do you think you will field in 2018?
MK: Six.
What has the feeling been like around the club over the pre-season?
MK: New and old coaches have worked hard to prepare their teams for the upcoming season.
If you had to pick one, which team do you think is the club’s best chance of winning a premiership this season?
MK: Under-14 boys – they won the under-13 grand final in 2017 and they have every chance to do it again.
Is there a particular age group of players that you need as soon as possible to fill a team ahead of Round 1?
MK: Particularly under-11 boys and under-18 girls but we are more than happy to take any new players!
