Another weekend gone, another round of Netball EFL done and dusted. We are going past the half way mark of the season now and we are seeing some of the ladders starting to take some shape.

Starting with Premier/Premier Reserve, Boronia’s Rush shot 52 of its 66 goals to beat Montrose by 35 goals. In another big scoring effort, Wantirna South Devils shooter Woodgate shot 43 goals in her side’s win against Scoresby, 55-50. A forfeit by Norwood led to Lilydale taking the four points. Fairpark’s van Dreumel had 32 goals and McLellan with 24 led their side to a victory over Mulgrave, 56-21. To close out the round, Blackburn defeated Wantirna South Devils Reserve by 9 goals.

In Division 1, Fairpark had a convincing win over North Ringwood, 41-29 and Scoresby came away with the four points against Coldstream, 29-22. Sharing their goal circle around saw South Croydon win against Knox, 34-26. Heathmont’s goal scorers Goulding and Abbruzzese inspired their team to victory against Forest Hill, 39-25. A strong start from Park Orchards helped it beat Blackburn, 31-14.

Over in Division 2, Croydon had a comfortable win against The Basin, 33-17 and Ringwood defeated Wantirna by 11 goals. It was only a couple of goals the difference throughout the whole game, but Forest Hill was able to get the win against Ferntree Gully by just two goals. Kilsyth defeated Norwood, 33-27 whilst Vermont was able to get a strong start on Lilydale to set its 15-goal win up, 37-22. Knox defeated Park Orchards, 46-27 with Harfield scoring 28 of those 46.

In Division 3, a 10-goal win went to Whitehorse against Scoresby and Boronia defeated Kilsyth by 13 goals with Boronia’s Hall scoring 20 for the game. Rowville climbed back onto the winners’ list with the win against Waverley Blues, 26-13. Mulgrave’s Hoskin was strong in the circle scoring 28 for the game in her side’s win against Knox, 38-24. Ringwood defeated Norwood, 31-19 and to finish out the round, Upper Ferntree Gully was victorious in a thriller against Heathmont, 23-21.

In Division 4, Ferntree Gully defeated Heathmont, 27-21. Forest Hill had a big win despite it being a close first half against Lilydale, 41-25, Cowan scoring 34 of the team’s 41 goals.
