The Netball EFL is going full steam ahead with some great matches being played across all seven divisions.

 

In the Premier/Premier Reserve division, Montrose came from behind thanks to the shooting of Baker with 33 of its 43 goals to defeat Wantirna South Devils Reserves by three goals. A huge scoring effort by Woodgate for Wantirna South Devils with 49 goals for the game assisting her side to a comfortable win over Blackburn. Scoresby defeated Boronia, 51-31, Boronia’s Kelly shot 38 of those goals. Fairpark remains undefeated at the top of the ladder after its massive win over Norwood, 80-30. A one-goal win went to Mulgrave against Lilydale, Mulgrave’s Smith being their go-to with 38 goals.

 

Looking at Division 1, a close game until the final siren saw Fairpark defeat Knox by two goals. A strong start gave South Croydon the jump on Coldstream, 41-28. North Ringwood got over the line against Forest Hill, 33-30 and Heathmont had a 10-goal win against Blackburn. To finish out the division, Park Orchards beat Kilsyth by a goal.

 

Across in Division 2, Croydon’s Bolton scored her team to victory with 28 goals, defeating Wantirna Devils, 46-17. A big third quarter by Kilsyth led it to beat Park Orchards, 36-27. An 11-goal win went to Vermont against Forest Hill with Vermont’s Phillips scoring 29 in her side’s 41-30 victory. Lilydale defeated Norwood, 34-25 and Knox Falcons came out on top against Ringwood, 34-27. To complete the round, Ferntree Gully defeated The Basin, 40-34.

Division 3 saw a percentage-booster for Whitehorse after it defeated Waverley Blues, 40-7. Upper Ferntree Gully comfortably beat Scoresby, 42-17 and Boronia had a 10-goal win against Knox. Hoskin’s accurate shooting for Mulgrave helped her side defeat Rowville, 40-32 and Heathmont’s strong third quarter helped it defeat Ringwood, 25-18. The final game of the round saw a draw between Kilsyth and Norwood, 24-apiece.

 

Division 4 began with a win to Ferntree Gully over Lilydale, 27-21. In a close one between North Ringwood and Forest Hill, Luiyf’s shooting for North Ringwood helped her side win, 24-22. A 10-goal win went to Nunawading over Heathmont and Boronia defeated Coldstream, 29-21. Glen Waverley Hawks had a comfortable win against South Belgrave, 38-11. A steady 10-goal win for Upper Ferntree Gully against Wantirna South closed out the round.

 

In Division 5, after keeping Wantirna South scoreless in the first quarter Mitcham comfortably took the four points, 31-11. Heathmont’s Lesiputty again proving too strong for her opponents, her side defeated The Basin, 38-24. Norwood’s McCoy’s 25 goals lead her side to victory against Coldstream Black, 40-21. South Belgrave defeated South Croydon by just 4 goals and Coldstream White beat Ringwood, 30-21.

 

In Division 6, a big first-half helped Nunawading take the win against Montrose, 34-18. The Basin defeated Norwood, 34-23 and Scoresby’s slow start didn’t stop them coming away with the win against Coldstream, 23-9. Park Orchards goaler, Koehrer shot 19 of the club’s 25 goals to defeat Glen Waverley by two. Mulgrave had a huge win over Lilydale, 44-9 and Knox finished the round with a win against Ferntree Gully, 27-19.

 

Looking ahead, each division has shaped up to have a game of the round to watch out for.

Prem/Prem Reserve has 3 v 2 in Wantirna South taking on Scoresby. Division 1 will see 4 v 3 in North Ringwood and Fairpark. Division 2 will see a 5 v 4 between Norwood and Kilsyth. Division 3 has a 3 v 4 match-up with Mulgrave and Knox. Division 4 has a huge 2 v 3 clash in Upper FTG and Glen Waverley. Division 5 sees a 3 v 1 in Heathmont and Coldstream White and Division 6 has a 2 v 4 fixture featuring Park Orchards and Scoresby.
