Premier Finals Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Rowville 5 Noble Park 10 0 R 2
South Croydon 13 Doncaster East 11 1 DE 1

EFNL Finals Record Wins Losses Draws Streak
Rowville 16 20 0 L5
Noble Park 17 13 0 L1
South Croydon 24 22 1 W1
Doncaster East 16 13 0 W5

Rowville are aiming for a first ever finals win in Premier Division; they have lost all previous five top-flight finals, including their only previous final against Noble Park.

First up final between South Croydon and Doncaster East.

Division 1 Finals Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Mitcham 4 Mooroolbark 12 1 Mi 1

EFNL Finals Record Wins Losses Draws Streak
Mitcham 28 19 1 L1
Mooroolbark 18 19 0 W1

Mooroolbark seek another chance to have a shot at East Ringwood, at the same time breaking a Grand Final drought back to 2013 and an opportunity to break a Premiership drought from 2009.

Mitcham are looking at a third Grand Final in seven seasons.

Division 2 Finals Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Ringwood 26 East Burwood 46 1 R 2

EFNL Finals Record Wins Losses Draws Streak
Ringwood 24 28 0 L1
East Burwood 39 31 1 W1

If the SBRD* ever turns their hand to writing dictionaries I will suggest one of the first entries should be: Resilience: Ringwood Football Club.  The Redbacks have had some setbacks in recent seasons but here they are again in sixth straight finals series, one win away from a third successive Grand Final.

East Burwood would probably hold the record of changing divisions the most in one decade:  2013 from Premier to Division 4 and then back to Division 2; two more wins and they would be back in Division 1.

Division 3 Finals Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Waverley Blues 11 Donvale 7 1 WB 2

EFNL Finals Record Wins Losses Draws Streak
Waverley Blues 12 5 0 W1
Donvale 20 7 0 W4

EFNL Grand Finals Wins Losses Draws Streak
Waverley Blues 2 2 0 L1
Donvale 5 3 0 W1

Waverley Blues and Donvale meet in a final for the first time.  The Blues are on a 16 game winning streak.  Donvale have the best finals record in terms of percentage of finals won, of any EFNL team across 60 years with a winning rate of 74%.

Waverley seek to add to their three EFNL flags:  1 in Division 2 and 2 in Division 3.  Donvale are the only club to have won a Premiership in four Divisions: 1 each in Premier, Division 2 and Division 3 and 2 in Division 1.

Division 4 Finals Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Silvan 10 Surrey Park 9 0 S 1

EFNL Finals Record Wins Losses Draws Streak
Silvan 4 5 0 W3
Surrey Park 1 4 0 W1

Silvan are aiming for their second EFNL flag.  (They have at least five from their time in the Yarra Valley Mountain District FL).

Surrey Park are seeking their first ever senior Premiership since the club was formed in 1994 when Surrey Hills and East Camberwell merged and initially played in the Southern FL before joining EFNL in 2002.  Last week’s Prelim win was their first finals win in the EFNL.

Current long winning streaks:

Waverley Blues 16, East Ringwood 14

All figures are for men’s EFL matches 1962 – 2022
