Premier Division

Croydon 74 def. Coldstream Grey 36
East Burwood Black 64 def. East Ringwood Black 44
Oakleigh District 73 def. Vermont Gold 53

The biggest match of Premier Division this weekend ended with an East Burwood upset, knocking off East Ringwood to jump into third position. It’s the third straight win for the Rams who once sat outside the top four in fifth. Some key players were missing for both sides, Emily and Claire Salmon both unavailable for the Roos, forcing the team to move the magnets around. East Burwood defensive star Gabrielle Clarke also missing for the Rams in their twenty-point win.

Croydon is back on the winner’s list this weekend, defeating Coldstream by 38 goals with Tayla Burrell and Ellarnah Hanlen stealing the show once again in both Goal Shooter and Goal Attack. With East Ringwood’s loss to East Burwood, they’ve almost managed to lock up the double chance with three weeks remaining.

Oakleigh District maintain touch with Croydon at the top of the Premier Division ladder with their win over Vermont. Twenty-goal margin was set up off the back of Emma Ryde’s 49 goals. The Eagles were quite competitive across the night, managing 53 goals of their own.

Boronia further proved their premiership credentials with a strong win over top-four side East Ringwood. They’ll likely finish with the double chance from here, with a very intriguing final game of the season up against Park Orchards.

Mitcham Amber again proved to be very competitive, falling short by just eight goals to a Park Orchards side who have lost just one game all season.
