Norwood Junior Football Club president Brad O’Brien spoke to EFL Media ahead of the 2018 season, all thanks to Yarra Valley Water and Choose Tap.

Overall, were you satisfied with what the club achieved, both on and off the field, in 2017?
Brad O’Brien: Moderately!

Approximately how many teams do you think you will field in 2018?
BO: 14.

What has the feeling been like around the club over the pre-season?
BO: Excellent. We have a number of new committee members, a change of president, have developed a policy and procedure manual and are in the process of rolling out a number of new initiatives.

If you had to pick one, which team do you think is the club’s best chance of winning a premiership this season?

BO: Under-12 boys. Made finals last year, have had a good pre-season and looked to have developed nicely.

Is there a particular age group of players that you need as soon as possible to fill a team ahead of Round 1?

BO: Under-12, 14, 16 and 18 girls.

If any players are interested in playing for Norwood this season, what do they have to do?
BO: Contact our footy operations team – Kevin Tymensen on 0422 115730 or Glen Dobson on 0433 822 277.
