2016 DIVISION 4 GRAND FINAL

Ferntree Gully v Forest Hill
Walker Park, Mitcham

For any club, the shot at a finals campaign and more importantly a Premiership is not a chance to be taken lightly. For two clubs that hadn’t added to their trophy cabinet in a combined 62 years the will to win was evident in last year’s Division 4 Grand Final.

Having had their chances over the past decade to break a 20+ year premiership drought the Eagles, having not lost a game in the home and away season were finally primed for an assault into a finals campaign that would have them red-hot favourites.

For the Zebras, a new coach and a handful of key personnel became the driving force for their 2016 successes as they not only finished the home and away season in second but more importantly, after dismantling the Eagles found themselves in a Grand Final with a 16-point win in the Second Semi Final.

A big Ferntree Gully win over Donvale in the Preliminary Final setup the re-match with the Zebras – A Division 4 Grand Final for the ages. Re-live all the highlights with your call team – Ben Warren-Smith, Josh Dawe, Alana Coleman and Ray Baird.
