In one of the quieter off-seasons in the last few years, 13 clubs will be looking to a new leader in season 2016.

Following wholesale changes at multiple clubs over the past three seasons, many clubs now find themselves having appointed the man that will take them forward. For the clubs that haven’t, 13 coaches add hopes to the 2016 that may not have been there in 2015.

In Division 1; Nine clubs retain their coaches including the Division 1 and Division 2 Premiers.

Second year coaches David Madigan, Peter Bastinac and Marcus Buzaglo all did enough to earn another year with their respective clubs while the departure of Brett Moyle meant changes for North Ringwood.

Peter Banfield will head back to Quambee to take the Saints into 2016, following a disappointing year with the Panthers, Banfield and Blackburn parted ways allowing North Ringwood to get their man.

The whole left by Banfield was quickly filled by EFL newcomer Kon Karavias who has spent most of his association with football in the EDFL. Karavias takes his first Eastern Football League job trying to develop a young core group of Panthers into 2016 and beyond.

Finally in somewhat of a coup for the Dogs, South Croydon welcome former North Melbourne player Leigh ‘Patch’ Adams to the Kennel in 2016.
