In Division 1, Vermont recorded a resounding 84-point win over Norwood at Mullum Reserve, led by Brett Eddy kicking nine goals. Meanwhile, South Croydon and Blackburn played out a thriller at Morton Park, with the Bulldogs claiming victory by three points, while North Ringwood held off an eager Noble Park outfit, prevailing by a solitary point.

Division 2 saw Bayswater return to the winners’ list, with a 27-point win over Croydon. Callanan was the hero for the Waters up forward, kicking three majors. Meanwhile, Doncaster East comfortably defeated Upper Ferntree Gully to the tune of 51 points, headlined by James Appleby with five goals.

In Division 3, a barnstorming second-half saw Heathmont post a 57-point win over the Waverley Blues, led by six goals from Ben Abbruzzese and three to Leigh Odermatt and Chris Colombo. An even first-half saw the sides trade goals, with the Jets holding a nine-point advantage at quarter time and a five-point lead at the main break. A six-goal to two third term saw the Jets pull away to a 27-point margin at the final change, with the home side relentlessly piling on the goals in the last quarter.

In Division 4, East Burwood defeated neighbouring club Forest Hill by 45 points, while Coldstream inflicted a 50-point loss onto Surrey Park. Meanwhile, the Glen Waverley Hawks continued its scintillating form, recording a 46-point win over Kilsyth led by Broad who booted eight.
