In Division 1, Rowville cruised past Montrose at Seebeck Oval, recording a resounding 103-point victory. Anderson and D’Arcy each booted two for the Hawks. Meanwhile, Balwyn has kept its finals hopes alive with a 36-point win over East Ringwood. Chancellor and Gottliebsen were among the best for the Tigers, while the ever-green Jeff Gobbels slotted four majors.

In Division 2, Mulgrave caused one of the upsets of the season, winning its second game in a row, defeating Upper Ferntree Gully by five points. The Lions trailed by 28 points at quarter time before a blistering second term which saw them five points in front at the main break. The sides rallied into the third as the Kings hit back to take a slender two-point advantage into the final change, but the Lions weren’t to be denied, booting three goals to one in the last term. Mulgrave veteran Adam Booth was named best afield for his side, finishing with three majors.

Ringwood remains undefeated in 2018 after overcoming Scoresby in Division 3. Without skipper Trent Farmer, the Redbacks ran out 15-point winners after facing a 15-point deficit at three quarter time, however five goals to one in the final term ensured the ladder-leaders’ unblemished record remained intact. Daniel Jordanov starred for Ringwood, finishing with four goals.

The Whitehorse Pioneers re-affirmed their premiership credentials on Saturday afternoon, with a 32-point victory over fellow finals-aspirant Forest Hill. The Pioneers raced out of the blocks early, taking a 28-point lead into half-time before kicking away in the second-half. Skipper Maverick Gleed was named best on ground for the Pioneers, while teammate Charlie Thorn finished with two goals.
