The Eastern Football Netball League’s newest junior club, Beaconsfield took the field for the first time on Sunday in a historic day for the club.

The Eagles fielded a total of 21 teams from Under 8’s to Under 17’s, a mix of junior boys, girls and mixed teams.

“It’s fantastic to see our junior competition expand with the addition of Beaconsfield,” said Daniel Houeix, EFNL Junior Football Manager.

“It feels like a perfect fit for both the club, it’s players and the league itself.”

The Beaconsfield Junior Football Club has been an outstanding addition to our ever-growing junior competition. Last month, the club hosted the EFNL Interleague Trial Games at Holm Park Reserve. The day ran superbly, with the club hosting a total of six games over two grounds.

The Beaconsfield Senior Football Club recently joined the league’s senior competition in 2022, crossing over from the Outer East Football Netball League.

Beaconsfield now fields Junior Boys and Girls teams, Senior Women’s teams, Senior Men’s teams, Reserves and U19’s teams in the EFNL.

“We welcome the Beaconsfield Junior football club into the EFNL to align with their senior club to provide a true pathway for their players and families,” said Jy Bond, Chief Executive Officer.

“We wish the club all the best for 2024 and beyond.”
