Positions: Head Coach, Senior Assistant Coach & Development Coach (3 positions)

About: 40 years is too long, three narrow senior grand final losses in the last decade has handed us the longest grand final drought within the Eastern Football Netball League. We want someone as Head Coach who will take us to a Premiership and beyond.
Job Summary: The Head Coach (playing or non-playing) will be responsible for the senior team’s overall strategy, performance, and management. This role requires a leader with a strong vision, exceptional coaching skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate our athletes to achieve their best. We currently average 22 of 46 player points, so there is room to grow and recruit.
Senior Assistant (non-playing) will be the right hand person to the Senior Coach and will work with the Development Coach to improve and nurture the development squad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align with the Forest Hill Football Club values: Loyalty, Community, Respect, and Fearlessness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs.
- Design and execute game strategies, styles, and plays.
- Foster a positive and competitive team culture.
- Mentor and develop players to enhance their skills and performance.
- Analyse game performance and adjust game plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and support staff.
- Represent the team within social & community events.
Qualifications for all positions:
- Proven experience as a Head Coach, Senior Assistant, or Development Coach.
- Strong understanding of AFL including rules, tactics, and strategies.
- Ability to attract players.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- A track record of developing and nurturing young talent.
- Relevant and recognised coaching certifications.
