After Coldstream last year claimed the Division 4 EastLink Under 19’s Premiership they have continued to re-invent over the summer.

Losing former coach and EFL legend Matt Price to The Basin wasn’t easy at the end of 2013, further to that losing Leam Doughty back to Montrose this year is yet another hurdle for the young group to overcome.

Enter Adam Dale.

Dale has been around the club for the past six years and in true Coldstream fashion become part of the fabric. So much so that when the club was on the hunt for their main man for 2015, they went no further than Dale.

Dale has now played 70+ games with the Cougars after moving from Silvan in 2009. Funnily enough that now makes him one of the more experienced heads around Coldstream.

To this point in the off-season Coldstream have only transferred three players into the club, a couple of experienced head but importantly some more key young players to add to the mix.

So far they have lost a handful and from all reports are set to lose only a couple more. One player rumoured to be making his way back is Johnny Pignataro, who last year suffered a season ending injury with Mitcham.

Knowing he is most likely not going to play in 2015, Pignataro returns to Coldstream Reserve for the first time since 2012 to take up an assistant coach’s role with the Cougars.

New Faces
Coldstream will hope that Kane Jones can replicate his YVMDFL form in the East. The Seville Forward is a prolific goal kicker booting 500 goals over the past 5 seasons.

Joining Jones at the cougars, also from Seville Dean, Mark and James Cecere and from Mt Evelyn Wade Reed re-joins the club after a couple of years away.

Coldstream kicks off its 2015 campaign against Kilsyth on Saturday April 11 at Coldstream Reserve.
