This will be the fourth finals series in a row featuring a South Croydon V Blackburn match; the winner has made the Grand Final each time.

Balwyn meet Doncaster East in a final for the first time.Division 1 FinalsWins WinsDrawsStreakEast Ringwood56Mitcham341ER 4Mooroolbark27Montrose260Mb 2

East Ringwood return to finals for the first time since 2008.  Of 91 matches against Mitcham, surprisingly only five have been finals, with the Roos winning the last three of those.

Montrose is Mooroolbark’s most played opponent in the EFNL.  We have to go back to 1989, 26 match ups ago, to find a streak of more than four against each other.  This will be the fourth final between the two clubs, Montrose 2, Mooroolbark 1.Division 2 FinalsWins WinsDrawsStreakSouth Belgrave4Ringwood80SB 2East Burwood25Boronia101B 1

South Belgrave and Ringwood meet in a final for the first time.

East Burwood and Boronia have played just the one final back in 1989 when the Rams won.

The only previous final between Donvale and Warrandyte was the 1992 Grand Final (look away now Bloods’ supporters!) when the Vales had an 11 goal victory.Division 4 FinalsWins WinsDrawsStreakSurrey Park9Chirnside Park110SP 1

It’s a first up final for Surrey Park V Chirnside Park, with the Surrey variety of Panthers aiming for their first ever EFNL Grand Final.

Apologies for a mistake in last week’s statsbench where Chirnside Park’s finals record was incorrectly listed as Donvale’s.

Current long winning streaks:

Waverley Blues 16, East Ringwood 13

All figures are for men’s EFNL matches 1962 – 2022                   1

^ Best Winning Streak (BWS) against this week’s opponent.
