It is with regret that after four years in the role of Head of Umpiring, the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) has accepted the resignation of Scott Van Noordennen.

EFNL Chief Executive Officer Troy Swainston praised Van Noordennen’s contribution during his time with the League.
“Scott leaves the EFNL in a much better place than when he started and has overseen a period of significant growth in umpire numbers, improvement in performance and umpire retention which the League will reap the benefits of for years to come,” Swainston said.
“Scott has worked in umpiring for 29 years and has been a highly-valued team member for the past four years. We are sad to see him go but we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
Van Noordennen thanked all those involved with the League.
“I have absolutely enjoyed the role over the past four years and am very proud of the achievements that we have been able to achieve as an umpiring group,” Van Noordennen said.
“The EFNL competition is a very professional and well-run organisation and this is reflective of the great standards the competition achieves and provides for umpires to officiate in.
“I thank the umpires, umpire coaches and the umpiring association for their support over the period and their contribution to umpiring.
“I have relished my role in the EFNL team and the opportunity to manage umpiring in this competition. I wish them every success for the future.”
Van Noordennen will finish with the League on Friday, December 20.
The search for a new Head of Umpiring will commence in the coming days.
