TOBIN BROTHERS STATSBENCH | ROUND 5

With Vermont casually chalking up another set of 10 consecutive wins since Round 15, 2018, I set a task for the SBRD*. I asked if they could come up with the number of times Vermont had won at least 10 in a row. Turns out that this is the 18th time since the EFL began, including the amazing run of 61 in a row from Round 2, 1988 to Round 2, 1991.

Being as pedantic as they are, the Department did correctly point out that if a team wins 61 games in a row they have actually won 10 games in a row on 52 occasions just there (they are correct, I checked). So, Vermont has, by this measure, 121 separate instances of winning 10 matches in a row. Whether 18 events of 10 or more or 121 separate times winning 10, it’s an amazing effort by Vermont (some fine work by the Department too).
