16/7/22

Premier  Round 13 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Vermont 24 Doncaster 6 0 V 3
Berwick 1 Balwyn 1 0 Bal 1^
Noble Park 17 Norwood 10 0 NP 2
Rowville 10 Doncaster East 15 0 R 4^
South Croydon 1 Park Orchards 0 0 SC 1^
North Ringwood 16 Blackburn 14 0 NR 1

Apart from a world pandemic and multitude of Prime Ministers, it actually doesn’t seem that long ago that Rowville and Doncaster East were both plying their trade in Division 2 (2004).  Now they are both contenders for a Premier Division flag.  These clubs have not met each other in a final.  The Lions won the first 12 meetings against the Hawks.

Division 1 Round 14 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Lilydale 16 Bayswater 24 0 B 2
Montrose 0 Beaconsfield 1 0 B 1^
East Ringwood 4 Mooroolbark 2 0 M 1^
Croydon 9 Upper FTG 4 0 C 3
Wantirna South 12 Mitcham 7 0 M 1

A huge top of the table clash in Division 1, with Mooroolbark and East Ringwood both enjoying their best season for a number of years.  The Roos will play finals for the first time since 2008, breaking their longest ever finals drought.  The Barkers are within sight of a first undefeated home and away season.

Division 2 Round 14 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Oakleigh District 0 East Burwood 1 0 EB 1^
Boronia 24 Heathmont 24 1 B 1
South Belgrave 1 Mulgrave 1 0 M 1^
Ringwood 9 Templestowe 11 0 R 2
Knox 4 The Basin 9 0 TB 3

Boronia and Heathmont notch up their 50th meeting.  They played the first four EFL seasons together in the top-flight and have spent the last decade together in Division 2.

Division 3 Round 14 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Coldstream 25 Fairpark 14 0 C 1
Ferntree Gully 1 Scoresby 13 0 S 6
Waverley Blues 6 Glen Waverley 1 0 WB 1
Whitehorse Prs 10 Warrandyte 14 0 Wr 4^
Donvale   Bye

Whilst the Division 3 top four is virtually assured the relegation ‘race’ is anything but, especially with two teams to be relegated.  It could well come down to percentage after round 18 so every score or touched behind may be vital.  Five teams within a game of each other!  One of Ferntree Gully and Scoresby will breathe slightly easier after this round.

Division 4 Round 14 Wins   Wins Draws Streak
Silvan 10 Forest Hill 7 0 S 6^
Surrey Park 5 Croydon Nth MLOC 0 0 SP 5^
Chirnside Park 3 Nunawading 4 0 CP 1^
Kilsyth   Bye

Croydon-North MLOC are the only team that Surrey Park has a 100% winning record against.

Current Streaks:  Mooroolbark W17; Oakleigh District L13, Nunawading L13, Upper Ferntree Gully L13.

All figures are for men’s EFNL matches 1962 – rd12/13 2022.
