#SayItNow week returns in 2019 as Victorians join the conversation to celebrate the important people in their lives.
After another successful week in 2018, #SayItNow week is back in 2019.
Victorians young and old are encouraged to celebrate the important people in their lives during Tobin Brothers Funerals’ #SayItNow week from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 August 2019.
#SayItNow week encourages people to pick up the phone, catch up for a coffee or send a message to a loved one or friend, to tell them how important they are in their life, and then share their #SayItNow moment on social media.
Philanthropist Susan Alberti AC, radio host Mark Allen, comedian and media personality Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann, paralympian Kelly Cartwright OAM, the Salvation Army’s Major Brendan Nottle, media personality Jane Holmes and former Melbourne Victory star Grant Brebner have been named #SayItNow Week Ambassadors for 2019.
Each ambassador will share their touching stories by expressing their appreciation for the impact a mentor, family member or friend has had on their life. Each day one ambassador video will be released via the ambassadors and Tobin Brothers’ digital and social media channels throughout the week. The daily video release schedule is as follows:
August 19 – Susan Alberti AC
August 20 – Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann
August 21 – Major Brendan Nottle
August 22 – Mark Allen
August 23 – Jane Holmes
August 24 – Grant Brebner
August 25 – Kelly Cartwright OAM
Comedian Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann and his best mate, Justin Hall, talk about their friendship, shenanigans and support they’ve given each other over the last 25 years.
Lehmo says “Even from my early days as a struggling accountant, ‘Hally’ was always there enjoying the ride. It’s a big commitment, he’s been to a lot of very average gigs over the years and pretended to laugh… heckled a couple of times but pretended to laugh most times.”
“So Hally, I just wanted to say it now, thanks for being a great support over all the years, thanks for saving my life and for saving me on many, many more occasions since then.”

James MacLeod, Managing Director Tobin Brothers Funerals, said #SayItNow Week encourages everyone to get involved.
“Too often, staff at Tobin Brothers have witnessed the heartache suffered by families and friends who did not have an opportunity to recognise the impact a loved one has had on their life before they have died. We felt compelled to develop #SayItNow Week as a way of reminding people not to wait until it’s too late to express your thoughts and feelings to the people around you. #SayItNow Week is a wonderful opportunity to encourage all Victorians to celebrate their important relationships by sending messages of gratitude to their loved ones.”
