NEW BLOOD

The Eastern Football Netball League is eager to announce that the Oakleigh Districts Football Club will join the league in 2022.

The club’s transfer from the Southern Football Netball League was confirmed by AFL Victoria this week following a strong majority vote at the EFNL’s recent Special General Meeting.

Oakleigh Districts will become the EFNL’s 48th senior club and their men’s side will compete in Division Two in 2022 making it a 10-team competition, an increase from eight in 2021.

Oakleigh Districts will field Senior Men’s, Reserves and Under 19’s teams in 2022, wear a black jumper with a white sash and are based out of Princes Highway Reserve West.

Oakleigh come out of the SFNL’s Division One and last won a premiership in 2015, when they stormed to the Division Two flag defeating Murrumbeena by 62 points 16.10 (106) to 6.8 (44).

The EFNL is very excited by the addition of Oakleigh District to its ranks, and we wish them all the best in their upcoming debut season.
