MOYLE TO CALL IT QUITS

Brett Moyle has decided to hang-up the boots and have a rest from coaching after six successful years at North Ringwood.

In 2010 North Ringwood Football Club welcomed the ex St Kilda player, who had more recently been Balwyn Captain.

The Saints had toppled to mid-stream Third Division and needed something (or someone) special to get them back to some sort of “power” in the EFL.

North President Scott Eade stated “Brett brought a fantastic attitude to the Club which became infectious. His skill, experience, and knowledge of the game benefited everyone involved with the Club immensely.”

The Club, along with Brett, had great success in 2012 winning the Division 3 Premiership by a League record-breaking margin of 137 points and climbed back o Second Division in 2013.

Brett Moyle was announced as Coach Of The Year for his achievements.

An essential part of coaching is being able to get the best out of your players, and Moyle did just that in 2012 with youngster Jack Whelan winning both Senior Best and Fairest and “Young Gun” awards.

Moyle was again successful in Season 2014 treating Saints fans to some fantastic team football from his young team, culminating in a mammoth 12 goal Grand Final victory over Croydon. To cap off the season, Jack Whelan again won League Best & Fairest.

Then, the “cream on the top”, Brett Moyle not only won the Eastern Region Coaches award prior to the Grand Final, but was voted Coach Of The Year by the Australian Football Coaches Association (Victoria), eclipsing coaches from 18 other Victorian Metro & Country Leagues. Well done Brett, a true acknowledgement of your coaching prowess.

The entire North Ringwood football community thanks Brett for not just being a great coach, but a fantastic person who is always willing to give his time to benefit others. He has given so much to North Ringwood and it will be difficult for someone to “fill his shoes”.

Brett will now be able to dedicate more time to his “Home Loan Saint” finance broker business, and we hope to see him back at the club, on the other side of the fence, in coming years.
