MARTIN TO RETURN

Noble Park Premiership player and Best and Fairest Kyle Martin may be making his way back to the Bull Ring sooner rather than later…

The 24 year old acknowledged the work of the club over his two years at Collingwood as he accepted his second successive Joseph Wren Trophy at last Friday nights Copeland Trophy night.

Martin, who had a couple of years at senior level in the EFL with the Bulls was recruited to Frankston in 2012 following impressive seasons for the Bulls in 2010-2012, the Bulls Back-to-Back premiership years.

In 2013 Collingwood recruiters were quick to snap up the goal kicking midfielder. Martin debuted against Brisbane in Round 10, 2013 quickly making an impact, two goals and 19 disposals he then backed it up with a solid showing against Melbourne 13 disposals and a career high three goals. In 2014 he managed just two games, in Round 5 he gathered 14 touches and one goal.

In the VFL Martin played 45 games, 28 for Collingwood, in those games he kicked 76 goals and managed to make the VFL Representative squad and Team of the Year in 2012.

Frankston Best and Fairest in 2012, and Collingwood VFL Best and Fairest in 2013 and 2014, Martin returns to the Bull Ring with a mountain of experience.

Returning Coach Mick Fogarty might have picked his time head back to the club; rumour has it almost certain that Martin will return, alongside premiership teammate and Frankston player Ziggie Alwan who has been with the Dolphins since 2013 who could be making the move back.
