HAMILL THE MAN FOR SURREY

Surrey Park have decided on their 2016 coaching panel – see below a statement from President Malcolm Cook:

SENIOR COACHScott Hamill

Scott has been appointed as Senior Coach Surrey Park and comes from a solid football background starting playing at Healesville at aged 8.

He has been twice a premiership player, Senior Captain for 4 years, League representative on 2 occasions as well as a stellar Club career. He has recently coached the Chirnside Park reserves and is looking to continue his coaching career, with Surrey Park his club of choice. Outside of football, Scott works as a Site Building Manager and still trains in Taekwondo at a high level.

We are excited to see the energy that Scott will bring to Surrey Park.

SENIOR ASSISTANT COACH – Clint Sim

Clint will continue his growth at the club taking on a Senior Assistant Coach’s role this year helping out Scott. Clint has been a great asset to the under 19s over the years and is ready to take the next step into Senior Coaching and the Club fully supports him. We are looking forward to seeing Clint have an influence on the senior group.

RESERVES COACH – Ben Fisher

Ben has been reappointed to the role of Reserves Coach after a consolidating year in 2015. The club are very pleased with Ben’s progress and looking forward to him taking a number of junior players coming through to the next level.

UNDER 19 COACH – Dean Peters

Dean will take over the under 19 role after 3 years under Clint Sim. Dean comes with great experience coaching Junior Football at Surrey Park as well as a stint at The Oakleigh Chargers in development role there. He has also previously coached under 19s at Old Trinity FC and we are very happy that he has returned to Surrey Park as his Cub of choice. This is a crucial development role to promote young players at Surrey Park and we are keen to see the results from Dean’s experience at the club.
