Ringwood are on the hunt for a new Senior Coach after 2014 coach Mick Gaul stated he would be unable to commit to the role for the upcoming 2015 season.
Below is a statement from Ringwood Football Club President – Peter Ryan
“It is really disappointing that I have to advise you that Mick Gaul has resigned as Senior Coach of the Ringwood Football Club.
Mick advised me yesterday that due to a change in his work commitments he feels unable to continue in the role and is therefore unable to fulfil the second year of his appointment.
Mick has taken on additional responsibilities in his full time work position and he doesn’t believe it would be possible to continue to undertake the Senior Coaching role of the club without compromising the energy and effort he believes the role requires and demands.
He has assured me that the decision to resign was based purely on work commitments and was a decision not taken lightly and finally made after much consideration and considerable regret.
He has advised that he will help as much as possible in the transition that is now required to appoint a new Coach and wishes the Club well for the future.
The Club will now embark on an immediate search to find a replacement Coach as soon as possible.
The AGM to be held on Monday 10 November will provide an appropriate forum to provide an update on this and other relevant Club matters.”
