Behind every sporting club and league, there’s a great amount of volunteers who give up their hours of their week all for the love of the game.
The Eastern Football Netball League and Eastland would like to thank some of the hard-working members in the community by recognising them through the Volunteer of the Week award.
Mark Hornstra from the Beaconsfield Football Club has been nominated as this week’s winner of the Eastland Volunteer of the week award.
Hornstra is the current Vice President of the club.
Each match-day, Hornstra has a very active role, firstly as the team manager for the reserves team.
He has also done a fantastic job each weekend, helping with the ground set up at Holm Park Reserve in the morning, along with all of the day to day logistics of running the day.
Described as a quiet achiever that adds significant value to the club, Hornstra is a more than suitable candidate for the award.
Thanks to Eastland, Mark Hornstra has been awarded with a 50 dollar Eastland Town Square Gift Card.
