Vermont remains the only undefeated side in Premier Division after recording a 35-point victory over Blackburn on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles led by 17 points at half-time before piling on six goals to none in the third term to open up a 50-point lead at the final change. Brett Eddy led the charge for Vermont with four majors. Meanwhile, Balwyn stunned Rowville, upsetting the Hawks by 57 points at Seebeck Oval.
In Division 1, Doncaster East posted a clinical 40-point win over Park Orchards at Zerbes Reserve. The Lions trailed by a point at half-time, before setting up the victory with a six-goal-to-none third term. Meanwhile, Lilydale has claimed outright first position on the ladder, handing Wantirna South its first defeat of the year.
In arguably one of the upsets of the round, Ringwood prevailed over Boronia by 37 points at Tormore Reserve, led by Brereton with three majors. At HE Parker Reserve, it was Heathmont by 67 points over Scoresby.
The Glen Waverley Hawks emerge from Round 4 big winners over Chirnside Park, with a 75-point victory off the back of eight goals to one after half-time. Marchetti finished with four majors for the Hawks.
In Division 4, Kilsyth registered its first win of the season, defeating Croydon North-MLOC, Silvan ran out big winners over Nunawading to the tune of 74 points and East Burwood was again victorious, this time defeating Surrey Park by 57 points.
