Vermont sent a resounding statement in Premier Division, defeating Balwyn by 45 points at Cherry Road off the back of seven goals to Brett Eddy. Meanwhile, South Croydon found its way back onto the winners’ list with a 50-point win over Doncaster, as North Ringwood continued its run of form with a 15-point win over Montrose.
Division 1 saw Upper Ferntree Gully produce an upset over Bayswater, getting home by a point after overcoming a four-point deficit at three-quarter time, as Knox defeated Croydon by 36 points off the back of four goals to Harry Greaves.
In Division 2, Mulgrave defeated Boronia despite trailing at all changes, while Ringwood defeated Templestowe by 22 points as Mitcham snapped a two-game losing streak with a victory over Scoresby.
South Belgrave sent yet another resounding message to the rest of the Division 3 competiton with a 91-point win over Ferntree Gully. The evergreen Leigh Odermatt finished with seven majors, taking out the Eastland Player of the Day award. Meanwhile, the Waverley Blues defeated Donvale by 45 points.
Division 4 action saw Coldstream, East Burwood and Silvan register big victories over Croydon North-MLOC, Nunawading and Kilsyth respectively.
