There is always that one bloke that is just good at sport, no matter what it is…although their probably isn’t a bloke that would go to this extreme in order to do it.
North Ringwood Backman Heath Decker played the first three quarters of the Saints second Semi Final against Croydon… crossing the road and heading to the local primary school…
Where a helicopter was waiting!
In a script that could be suited to a Disney sports movie, The star wide receiver come quarterback for the Monash Warriors made it to Tom Flood Sports Centre in Bendigo just in time for the second play of the Warriors Vic bowl playoff with the Geelong Buccaneers.
You see, Decker had a chance to not only get his Football team into yet another Grand Final but playing for the Warriors as part of Gridiron Victoria, Decker also managed to help his side to win the TGI Fridays Vic Bowl.
The multi-sport superstar performed the juggling act all season, and it possibly could pay huge dividends, Decker, already has one championships medal around his neck, and with a couple of weeks before the Division 2 ‘Choose Tap’ Grand Final will have his mind firmly placed on the Saints fortunes now.
Just when you thought the story was done there, Decker, just after jumping on the field managed to slip in at wide receiver nailed a 30 yard catch from QB Dom Dearman for the first score of the Vic Bowl.
For the record The Warriors were victorious winning 43-14, The Monash club has won three championships in a row, also Deckers other side managed a 67 point victory despite being a player down in the last quarter.
