Commercial and Netball Roles Filled

The Eastern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean O’Neill Appointed Commercial and Sponsorship Manager of the Eastern Football Netball League and Alice Cook as the League’s new Netball and Administration Coordinator.

The EFNL is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean O’Neill as the League’s new Commercial and Sponsorship Manager.

O’Neill brings to the role a wealth of business experience, having worked for 34 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as a Private Client Manager within the Commonwealth Private Bank, where he built, managed, and maintained relationships with high net-worth individuals. More recently O’Neill has been working with Extensions Unlimited Builders and Designers.

O’Neill has a strong connection to the League through his playing days and he is currently a senior umpire and the President of the EFL Umpires Association and has extensive volunteering experience at the club level.

CEO Troy Swainston said that the EFNL was thrilled to appoint O’Neill to the role.

“His previous experience, skillset and knowledge of the League aligns with the key priorities of the role, leaving him well placed to make a significant and immediate impact.”

Meanwhile Cook joins the EFNL at an important time with our Netball competition continuing to grow with 100 plus teams anticipated in 2022.

Cook brings with her a wealth of Netball knowledge, with over 20 years of involvement in the sport as a player, coach, volunteer and administrator.

Professionally Cook has an extensive career in the sports industry, involved with the EFNL as a Netball Venue Manager for the past four years and has 12 years as a sports coach and Netball coordinator at PLC.

Her love and passion for sport has also seen her fulfil Sport and Administration duties at ACS and volunteer as Secretary for the Victorian Premier Cricket club, Fitzroy Doncaster.

O’Neill and Cook will begin with the Eastern Football Netball League on the 2nd and 1st of February respectively.
