Croydon recorded a thrilling one-point victory over Park Orchards in Division 2, after trailing the Sharks at all changes. Justin Ficorilli finished with two majors for the Blues, while Connor Hickey booted four for the Sharks. At the Lilydale Sports Oval, the Falcons overcame a slow start to run out 26-point winners over Mitcham.
In Division 3, Ringwood remains undefeated after claiming the Parker Cup in an 18-point win over Heathmont. The Redbacks set up their win in the third term with four goals to one, after trailing by nine points at the main break.The home side continued its second-half dominance into the final quarter on its way to recording the club’s 13th-consecutive victory. Zach Callinan starred for the Redbacks with three goals.
East Burwood returned to the winners’ list with a comprehensive 63-point win over Forest Hill in Division 4, after slamming on seven goals to one in the first half. The away side led at all changes, restricting the Zebras to just two goals to three quarter time. Adrian Gileno booted three majors for East Burwood, while Michael Cardamone and Elijah Dale each kicked two for Forest Hill.
