Meanwhile, Noble Park recorded its third win for the season, upsetting second-placed Rowville to the tune of 35 points.
Doncaster East ended Lilydale’s undefeated start to season 2018, inflicting a 21-point defeat at Zerbes Reserve. Jake Summers was again potent for the Lions, kicking three goals as his side climbed to first on the Division 2 ladder. At Heights Reserve, Mooroolbark and Mitcham played out a thrilling draw, with the scores locked at 45-apiece on the final siren.
Ringwood kept its unblemished record intact at Tormore Reserve on Saturday in Division 3, with a 25-point win over Boronia. Trent Farmer kicked four goals for the Redbacks on the way to handing the Hawks their first loss for season 2018.
Meanwhile, the Whitehorse Pioneers ran out 33-point winners over East Burwood in Division 4, ending the Rams’ run of eight consecutive victories. The Pioneers led from start to finish, in a dominant performance which saw Andrew Padbury star, slotting six majors.
