Baker Appointed General Manager – Football Operations

The Eastern Football League is pleased to announce the appointment of Dyson Baker as the League’s new General Manager – Football Operations. 

Baker brings to the role a wealth of football and competition experience within the EFL. A Heathmont junior, and more recently, a senior player with Forest Hill, he has a Bachelor of Business (Sports Management) and is currently enrolled in a post-graduate (Masters) Management degree at Deakin University.

Baker, who has been with the EFL for five years has served as both Junior Football

Manager and Media Manager during his time with the League.

Prior to that, he held down multiple volunteer roles during a seven-year stint with the EFL media team.

EFL Chief Executive Officer Troy Swainston said the League is thrilled to be able to provide Dyson with the opportunity to take on the role of General Manager – Football Operations.

“Dyson has been instrumental in making positive changes to the junior competition and we look forward to this evolving further in this expanded role,” Swainston said.

Baker said he was looking forward to the opportunity of working with the senior clubs, staying involved with the junior competition and assisting with the management of the junior interleague program.

Baker will commence full time on Wednesday 16th January, 2019.
