The suburb of Warrandyte will come to a standstill for the next few days as its residents celebrate the clubs Three Eastern Football League Premierships!
A feat not achieved by any one club over the past decade, all three Warrandyte sides were tested before prevailing and holding aloft the Premiership Cup.
Three Premierships and a sea of smiling faces – Seems like a pretty good way for the club to head back into Division 3 after a short stay in Division 4.
The Day kick off with the two “Underdog” Bloods sides with the 19’s having to win through to the Grand Final the hard way and the Reserves coming up against a talented Forest Hill side.
In what was a tight tussle early, The Under 19’s game wasn’t broken open until the early stages of the final term, much like the two games that followed.
All in all despite winning each game by roughly 3 or 4 goals, it was only late in each that the Bloods felt they had it won.
The Senior game was a true test of determination from both sides with players pushing themselves to the point where both sides struggled to find fit players to run out the last half of the final term.
In the end the Bloods were supreme winning by 22 points in the Under 19’s, 18 in the Reserves and 23 points in the seniors.
