2016 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT

Another big year for football in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne with five former EFL juniors set to take their place on AFL lists.

All players drafted from the EFL came through our two TAC Cup affiliates with four drafted from the Eastern Ranges and one from the Chargers.

The draft also threw up one of the stories of the night with bolter Josh Begley taken at Pick 31 after being overlooked for the Eastern Ranges at the start of the season!

Those who missed selection will have another chance on Monday with the Pre-season and Rookie drafts.
