It is with regret that after a season at the helm of the leagues junior operations, the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) has accepted the resignation of Junior Football Manager Corey Maynard.

Maynard stepped into the role in the lead up to the 2021 season and immediately made an impact with the league’s member clubs.

Dyson Baker, EFNL General Manager – Football Operations, praised Maynard’s ability to build relationships with all league stakeholders and also his coaching expertise, having played at the top level with Melbourne, as well as competing in the NBL prior to his AFL career.

“Corey understands the importance of building a rapport with clubs in order to run the competition smoothly, his aim from the start was to connect with clubs,

“He had a great understanding of football at community level but was also a powerful asset when it came to enhancing the leagues representative program.”

Maynard thanked the league and clubs for the opportunity to gain further insight into the industry.

“I have certainly enjoyed my time here, am grateful for the relationships I have been able to build both within the office and across the wider Eastern Football community.”

Maynard will finish with the League on Friday, January 21.

The league is currently advertising for the role of Junior Football Manager, any enquiries should be forwarded to enquries@efnl.org.au
