2017 Leaders
President – Steve Draper
Senior Coach – Matt Clark
Senior Captain – Tim Lee & Brent Walker
What is the club’s ethos/focus in season 2017?

We want to keep improving  in all areas of the game both on and off the field

What has the pre-season been like so far for the club, is there any group that have really impressed (younger players, veterans, new recruits etc.)?

All players are working hard and all new recruits have fitted in well with the team. Our fitness and skills are key focus areas as well game plan focus.

Off the field has there been any changes to the structure of the club? And how are you situated heading into the 2017 season?

Experienced administrator Nick Silvester , has replaced the long serving and excellent Karen Moore as Secretary. Ian Hallam will be the Treasurer and brings strong business management experience to the club.  Both Nick & Ian are former players of the club , with Ian’s son Sam a current senior player.  Experienced football manager Mick Gillin has returned to the committee and will lead Football Operations.

Thanks to the Knox Council, a new Electronic scoreboard will be up & running this year, which will improve the experience for the supporters, players and our Business partners at games at Walker reserve

The club has strong and growing relationships with its business partners and more have committed to the club for season 2017 and beyond.

If you could take one thing you learnt from the 2016 season to improve this year, what would it be?

We have had a focus for a long time to build depth in our list and what last year showed us that again this will be critical. Bayswater were able to win both Senior and Reserves flags and there depth was a key element to this.

Where does the club see itself in 3 years time?

To be regarded as the club of choice for players and people to be part of in the Knox and surrounding areas

Finally, who in your Division do you feel is the greatest threat to your chances of success in 2017 and why?

We are fully aware that all teams have the ability to win any game and with such evenness in this division each week will be a tough contest.
