Scoresby will be putting the 2022 season behind them, starting fresh in Division Four this year, looking ahead to a big upcoming season.
The club had a strong start to the season last year but faded away in the back half of the season, falling victim to the Division Three double relegation.
At the end of last year, Craig McKenzie was announced as the new Scoresby senior coach, coming across from Dalyston. McKenzie is looking to focus on developing the list while getting consistent efforts across the board from his side.
McKenzie has expectations to bring back some success to the club, wanting to set the on-field standard for Scoresby in Division Four was also creating some positive growth across the club.
“Attendance numbers have being really strong during the pre season,” McKenzie said.
One player that Craig Mckenzie is looking forward to seeing out on the field is Dale Hehir.
“He is fit, eager and is going to be the driving force behind setting a high standard to the playing group.”
Hehir returned to the club last year, wearing the black and white for the first time since 2015. A solid return year saw kick 22 goals and make the EFNL Division Three Team of the Year.
A couple of recruits that the Magpies have managed to pick up has helped boost spirits, one playing returning back to the club Jack Paravicini also coming across from Dalyston.
“He is very fit and will balance either going forward or in the midfield”.
Another recruit that has also made his was way back to the club is Dyl Milligan.
Although he has had a disturb pre season, McKenzie is confident that he will bring more consistency to the side.
