The Eastern Football League has named its inaugural EFL interleague squad ahead of its clash with the Northern Football League on May 12.
Boronia and Fairpark lead the charge, with three representatives each named, including Kathleen McMahon, Rebecca McMahon and Nicole Phillips (Boronia), along with Alicia Hughes, Jordan Lingard and Stephanie McNay (Fairpark).
Wantirna South has produced two representatives, with Haylee O’Shea and Lauren Woodgate set to line up, and will be joined by Verity Boyd (Montrose) and Katie Wilson (Croydon).
The EFL netball interleague side will be coached by former Australian Diamond Shelley O’Donnell, who represented Australian on 84 occasions, including the winning world cup teams in 1991, 1995 and 1999.
She was also the inaugural captain of the Melbourne Kestrels from 1997-2000.
Training will be held on the following dates:
Sunday 9 April 2017 at 9:30am at the State Basketball Centre, 291 George Street Wantirna South 3152.
Sunday 7 May 2017 time and venue TBC in the coming week.
Training will run for an hour and a half with Shelley O’Donnell (senior) and Alana Coleman (under-19s).
