In a joint initiative with AFL Victoria, the Eastern Football League (EFL) undertakes the management and delivery of AFL Victoria Game Development programs for a specifically allocated area within the Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne
The role includes the management of NAB AFL Auskick centres and school’s programs, together with club, coaching and game development initiatives. These will be developed to encourage the progression of participants from AFL Development programs to junior and senior football clubs.
With the recent growth in female football, the opportunity exists for the FDM to be involved in the development of female football in the region.
The FDM responsibilities will be integrated within and supported by the match day management, commercial and administrative operations conducted by the EFL.
The role requires a team approach to achieving overall operational outcomes sought by the EFL and a flexible approach to the hours and days worked. It requires an acceptance that in-season requires weekend and after hours work where time off in lieu is balanced across the calendar year.
