Cougars: laying down the law
For the most part we all know that junior football is a fun, supportive and exciting environment.
Unfortunately for some, the excitement of a game can manifest itself in different ways, some not as acceptable as others.
Most parents and supporters will cheer and barrack in a supportive manner for their side. The occasional parent though takes things too much to heart.
For those people, Coldstream have just set out to make people more aware of what’s going on around them.
With a new sign made to educate people on the etiquette at junior football. The Sign Reads: These are Kids. This is a Game. The coaches are volunteers. The Umpires are human. This is not the AFL.
Encouraging sportsmanship is the key for the Cougars who are looking to maintain create a positive environment for the entire club.
