Eastland Volunteer off the Week

Behind every sporting club and league, there’s a great amount of volunteers who give up their hours of their week all for the love of the game.

The Eastern Football Netball League and Eastland would like to thank some of the hard-working members in the community by recognising them through the Volunteer of the Week award.

Jeff Howell from the Mitcham Football Club has been nominated as this week’s winner of the Eastland Volunteer of the week award.

This year, Jeff has joined the committee at Mitcham while also being the club’s Reserves Team Manager.

He has been a huge help in organising the club’s match days at Walker Park, particularly with both set up and pack up duties.

The recognition for Jeff’s work at the club is timely with the National Volunteer Week (NVW) being held this weekend, Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.

Thanks to Eastland, Jeff has been awarded with a 50 dollar Eastland Town Square Gift Card.
