The Eastern Football Netball League has released its Eastland Division Two Season Fixture for 2021, with the eight team, 18 round division beginning on the 10th of April.
Relegated Knox will kick off the Brendan Whitecross era by hosting 2019 Preliminary Finalists Boronia, whilst Heathmont will welcome The Basin to the re-vamped H.E Parker Reserve and use their new state of the art rooms for the first time.
Elsewhere Templestowe host Ringwood and South Belgrave will travel to Mulgrave.
South Belgrave will get the chance unfurl their 2019 Premiership Flag in Round Two when the Jets travel up the mountain.
Anzac Round (Round Three) will begin on Friday Night as Heathmont host rivals Ringwood (Senior Men’s only) before Saturday Afternoon sees Templestowe travel to Mulgrave and Boronia head off to South Belgrave before the round closes out with a Saturday Night fixture at Knox Gardens as the Falcons host The Basin.
Night games are likely to be a theme of the 2021 Division Two season such is the high quality of the lights across the division.
The Basin and South Belgrave have already locked in to play two of their three fixtures under lights (Round Four at Batterham Reserve and Round 11 at Belgrave South Recreation Reserve), with clubs able to organise night fixtures closer to the season.
It is also likely that there will be a number of Women’s fixtures aligned to the Division Two season which will see four games in a day at some venues throughout the year.
Also due to a facility upgrade during the middle of the season, Mulgrave have a number of home games at the front end of the fixture.
The Division Two Finals Series will begin on the 21st of August, with the Grand Final played two weeks later on September 4th.
