Donvale Black vs Vermont: Vermont were a class above Donvale Black winning by 23-points at Donvale Reserve. A slow start from Donvale Black proved the difference, as they were down by 31-points at quarter time and were held scoreless. It took Donvale Black till the second term to trouble the scorers and they kicked four goals to Vermont’s two. Donvale Black were playing catch up football after the opening quarter and they eventually ran out of steam unable to register any goals in the second half only four behinds. Vermont’s only multiple goal scorer was Evie Allman with two and they had five individual goal kickers including Amy Whittle, Stephanie Pinolo, Madeline Johns, Abbey Rutherford and Catherine Chamberlain. Park Orchards vs SBL Wolves: In what was a close contest down at Stintons Reserve, SBL Wolves prevailed by a goal over Park Orchards. A slow start did not faze Park Orchards, as they were scoreless in the opening term, but came out in the second term with flair outscoring SBL Wolves three goals to two. It was any teams game to win at the main break with SBL Wolves up by three-points. SBL Wolves came out firing in the third quarter with three goals to Park Orchards one and they held the biggest advantage in the match. However, this did not bother Park Orchards as in the final quarter they threatened to take the lead winning the final quarter two goals to one, but SBL Wolves were able to hold on in a classic of women’s suburban football.
