The Blackburn Football Club are seeking applicants for the roles of Senior and Masters Coach for the Women.
Blackburn Women’s Football Coaches
(Seniors and Masters) – 2023
Do you have a:
Passion to see women of all ages and backgrounds be supported to play their best football?
Desire for a leadership role in a club striving to continuously improve our inclusive approach?
Motivation for your own professional growth as a coach to learn?
Belief that local football plays an important role in both community development and talent pathways for VFLW and AFLW?
Experience and drive to ensure every player thrives through their involvement with our club?
If you answered a loud YES to all the above, then we should be talking!
Blackburn Football Club (BFC) is a Club with a proud football heritage (since 1903) that seeks to hold our position as a leader for player development, inclusion, and innovation within the EFNL. Our Women’s Program began in 2018 and has continued to grow including a Women’s Masters team since 2020.
This is a well-resourced program, and the Club has a partnership with Kinetic who will provide trainers at training and game days. Players are already in pre-season training and many have personalised football focused strength and conditioning programs. Our Red Army of volunteers will be on hand to support you on game-day, and we have team managers and assistant coaches. Their club history and Burners’ love keeps them rolling up their sleeves to see our teams succeed.
While we are open to any application, we expect to appeal to either
Someone who has been coaching at a higher level in a larger coaching team that seeks an opportunity to own and drive a program.
Someone who has been coaching at community level and would prefer to spend their time more strategically giving individual feedback to each player rather than be stuck as quasi team manager / volunteer / marketing specialist.
Going into 2023 we plan to field a Senior Women’s and Masters (35+) Women’s team. We are open to discuss a role that covers one or both teams and will make a choice based on candidate vision and experience. Assistant coach applications are also being taken.
At this point we are keen to hear expressions of interest by Midnight Saturday 24 December. We will accept applications in written form, a video or voice as you need.
Remuneration will be in the range of $2,000 – $5,000 depending on experience and portfolio. We are open to discussing training and development costs being covered within a package.
Applications and questions go to our Vice President – Women, Felicity Langton VP.Womens@BlackburnFC.com.au or call her on 0425 792 772
All applications are received and treated with the strictest confidence.
