BLACKBURN COACHING POSITION AVAILABLE

Message from departing coach Brendan Allen:

To all the players, members and wider Blackburn community, it’s with a degree of sadness that I inform everyone that the time is right for a new voice and direction at the Football Club and I’ll be stepping down as senior coach.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers, committee, coaches and players for the support in my time as Senior Coach. I hope I’m remembered as a person who listened and engaged anyone who wore a red jacket.

This is my club now; my family are invested in the place as much as I was and I’ll be happy to watch in the outer in my red jacket as a supporter from now on’

Brendan closes a chapter on a 6 year period where Brendan gave everything he could to our club. His dedication and commitment has been fantastic throughout his time, coaching our Senior Men’s team to finals in every year of his coaching, including 2 preliminary finals appearances and 1 Runners up result. Brendan was also significant throughout Covid interrupted seasons, organising full club community camps to support towns in regional Victoria, among others. On behalf of The Blackburn Football Club, I would like to thank Brendan for his commitment and efforts over the past 6 seasons and look forward to spending time together watching the Mighty Burners play again in 2024.
